Assessment

Alabama A&M's annual assessment process documents unit-level institutional effectiveness (IE) efforts across the University through assessment plans and reports. These unit-level IE processes are essential for maintaining the University's regional accreditation. AAMU mandates that administrative units, academic programs, and student and academic support units participate in the annual assessment process.

This page offers resources to assist units with their annual assessment plans and reports. For an overview of unit-level IE processes at the University, including assessment plan/report requirements and descriptions of the different unit types involved, please refer to the AAMU Institutional Effectiveness Plan at the bottom of this page. Appendix B lists the units and programs required to participate in the annual assessment report process according to SACSCOC standards and AAMU divisions. You can determine your unit type designation by consulting Appendix B.

In addition to the resources available here, OIPRE staff are available and happy to provide support to guide your unit or program through the annual assessment cycle.
